A bit about me...
I’m driven, curious and forever learning.
In my spare time you’ll find me surfing, sailing or geeking out on the latest design book release.
I’ve been fortunate to be able to follow my passions and spent years living and working abroad. Some highlights include coaching surfing and snowboarding in Canada and Central America. Some character building moments included working as a seismic surveyor in the South Australian desert and treeplanting in the remote Canadian wilderness.
The catalyst for my design career happened when I created a logo for a business idea I had. I witnessed how steep the learning curve was for beginner surfers, so I built a systematic way of learning to surf that was born out of empathising with the student and understanding pain points that were preventing them from achieving their goals.
This humble beginning opened up a pathway into graphic design, web design, and ultimately what I consider the perfect combination of problem solving, user psychology and calculated creativity: UX/product design.
